Monte Nido Atlanta

Monte Nido Atlanta will offer state-of-the-art, evidenced-based residential programming for eating disorders and co-occurring presentations. Opening in late 2020, and located adjacent to a park in Sandy Springs, GA, Monte Nido Atlanta will provide programming for all genders.

Monte Nido’s trusted treatment approach focuses on the restoration of physiological and nutritional balance, the implementation of healthy eating and exercise routines, the elimination of destructive behaviors and the development of motivation and treatment engagement. Our objective is to help each client achieve a clear understanding of their eating and/or exercise disorder and its effect on their life, as well as an individualized appreciation of what is necessary for their personal recovery.

We help our clients:

  • Work toward ceasing restrictive behaviors and elimination of other disordered behaviors relating to eating and co-occurring disorders
  • Address trauma reaction and substance use co-occurring presentations through interventions such as Cognitive Processing Therapy, Motivations Enhancement Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and interpersonal therapy.
  • Heal their relationship with food while developing a clearer understanding of disordered thinking, attitudes, and behaviors
  • Identify and address underlying causes of their eating disorder and removing harmful patterns that affect self-care and relationships
  • Understand that food- and body-related behaviors are connected to feelings, and develop a healthy expression and practice of emotions
  • Accept their natural size and shape while improving self-image
  • Identify and modify patterns that may complicate recovery, with participation from family and other loved ones
  • Develop an effective aftercare plan that includes strategies for relapse prevention and arrangements that ensure a smooth transition to aftercare providers

A Letter from Monte Nido Atlanta's Regional Director of Clinical Services

At Monte Nido Atlanta, we believe compassion and structured support leads to motivation and ultimately action. Often, clients feel hopeless and alone in their eating disorder. We encourage clients to “hand over the reins” and let our experts help them reconnect with food, body and soul. Each client is seen as an individual human being who requires individualized goals and treatment. Through this process, we are able to slowly hand back the control, allowing clients to integrate and practice tools and steps that will allow them to be successful in their lives. At Monte Nido Atlanta, we believe communication, community and compassion allow our clients to find the motivation and commitment to their passion and purpose in life. The team is invested in creating a warm, supportive environment that allows for trust and guidance through the recovery process. Whether the recovery road has been a long one or it is your first time asking for help, we are here, and we believe you can recover.

Sincerely,
Chris Wilson
