Returning to care is more common than you think. Know the signs.

Returning to treatment doesn’t mean something went wrong—it means you’re paying attention to what you need. Below are some signs that you may need more support.

Increase in negative body image or self-criticism

When old habits like body-shaming thoughts or hiding your body resurface, it may be more than just a bad day—it could be a sign that support is needed.

Changes in eating patterns

From restrictive diets to avoiding shared meals, any change in eating patterns or food-related anxiety may suggest it’s time to reconnect with your recovery tools.

Looking back on the disorder with fondness

If memories of your eating disorder start to feel comforting or idealized, it’s important to reflect honestly and seek support before old behaviors return.

Worsening of depression or anxiety

A surge in anxiety, hopelessness, or emotional distress can increase the urge to use food or restriction to cope—making timely help crucial.

our care
Sometimes, healing happens in chapters. Hear from alumni who returned to care and found strength in doing so.

"I never imagined feeling peace with food or my body again. But this community reminded me that healing is possible—and worth fighting for."
