A Letter from Monte Nido River Towns's Clinical Director
If you are reading this, you likely have at least a part of you that believes things can get better. I believe strongly in the possibility of complete recovery from an eating disorder, and I also know it’s one of the hardest things a person can choose to do. I feel incredibly privileged to have walked beside many wonderful souls on their path towards healing. Those journeys have not been easy, but they have been rewarding, beautiful, messy and worthwhile. And, no two have been exactly alike. For this reason, I believe individualized treatment for the whole person and their supporters is essential in creating a strong foundation for lasting recovery.
My responsibility, and my promise to you, is to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which to heal both body and soul. I believe in a respectful, kind and honest approach in guiding you and your loved ones as you challenge your eating disorder and move towards greater authenticity and balance in your life. My hope is that you are able to build a new relationship with food, your loved ones and yourself through your work at Monte Nido. Together, our team can support you to create the life you want and deserve.
Sincerely,
Gillian Tanz
MSW, LCSW | CLINICAL DIRECTOR
