Having recovered from an eating disorder, herself, Kathryn Sica is passionate about her work. Kathryn has been working with eating disordered individuals since 1992 when she first began training with Carolyn Costin. She began working with Monte Nido 20 years ago when Carolyn opened her first facility. Though she left for some time to build her own thriving private practice, Kathryn maintained a close relationship with both Carolyn and Monte Nido. Kathryn now works as a supervisor for the interns at the Eating Disorder Center of California. Kathryn holds a Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Lutheran University. She has a passion for travel and has visited 17 countries so far. She hopes to double that number in her lifetime!
“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” – Maya Angelou
