Soul Team Spotlight: Monte Nido New England’s Tenured Leaders

Monte Nido extends an excited welcome to two of our tenured leaders moving into new roles. Michelle Felton, MA, LMHC will be moving from the Clinical Director role at Monte Nido’s Eating Disorder Center of Boston, providing day treatment, to Monte Nido Laurel Hill, our residential program in Medford, Massachusetts. Moving in to the Clinical Director position at Monte Nido Eating Disorder Center of Boston is former Assistant Clinical Director Christine McQuade, MS.

Michelle and Christine have worked together as a team for several years; their caring collaboration will be felt by clients stepping down from Monte Nido Laurel Hill residential treatment to Monte Nido Eating Disorder Center of Boston day treatment.

How did your journey at Monte Nido begin?

I started working at Laurel Hill as the intake coordinator in 2014.

What do you love about Monte Nido?

I like how you show up as a person first and a therapist second and how Monte Nido uses movement in recovery.

What are you most looking forward to as you take on your new role as Clinical Director of Laurel Hill?

Helping clients begin their journey in recovery.

How will you and Christine McQuade, Clinical Director of EDCB, work together as leaders in the Boston area?

We will have open communication and weekly conversations about our clients and movement between the facilities. We are both excited to attend new marketing events together since we have been working together for 5 years!

Please share three fun facts about you.

1.       Cake is my favorite food!

2.       I’m fascinated with big storms

3.       I’m getting married at the New England Aquarium

How did your journey at Monte Nido begin?

 I started working at Monte Nido in December 2014 as an intake coordinator, I was actually referred to the job by Michelle Felton!

What do you love about Monte Nido?

What I love most about Monte Nido is the philosophy, I have worked in the eating disorder field for many years and I find the Monte Nido approach the most effective and compassionate.

What are you most looking forward to as you take on your new role as Clinical Director of EDCB?

Being in a role that helps facilitate change and growth.

How will you and Michelle Felton, Clinical Director of Monte Nido Laurel Hill, work together as leaders in the Boston area?

Open communication and support, we have known each other and worked together for years so we have figured out how to support one another pretty well

Please share three fun facts about you.

I am a HUGE true crime fan, I live on the beach, my cat Emmy is my favorite person.
