Emily Dumas, MA, LMFT is the Clinical Director of the Monte Nido Eating Disorder Center of Philadelphia. Ms. Dumas has extensive experience in the eating disorder field. She uses a collaborative and integrative style in her therapy in order to tailor her approach to each of her client’s needs. Prior to joining Monte Nido, Ms. Dumas was the Director of the SEEDs of Hope Program and owned a private practice. She has also worked as a Primary Therapist at the Renfrew Center. Ms. Dumas received her bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s University and went on to earn her master’s degree from LaSalle University. During her education, she was a member of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society of Psychology and Theta Kappa Alpha, the National Theological Honors Society. Ms. Dumas specializes in Marriage and Family Therapy and is an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy Approved Supervisor Candidate.
Ms. Dumas has presented at Drexel University, West Chester University and the Renfrew Center. She has also facilitated group therapy for adolescent mothers in a poverty-stricken community in Santiago, Child. Ms. Dumas is fluent in Spanish.
